Organize Your Desk Like a Pro: The “Distance Rule”
Share
Here’s a simple way to decide what belongs on your desk: place items based on distance. 0–12 inchesis for things you use constantly (keyboard, mouse, notebook). 12–24 inchesis for daily tools (pen cup, sticky notes, water). Beyond that is storage—drawers, shelves, or bins. This reduces reaching, clutter, and visual noise. If an item is in the wrong zone, it either blocks your work or gets lost. Use this rule once and your desk instantly feels more intentional.
